Meet Noah Riley. He's a doctor. A doctor with a mild drink problem. He used to be happy - he remembers being happy. Seven years ago, he was in love with an Irish man named Zeke Wilde. Zeke knew a lot about magic: he'd suffered with it most of his life.

The thing about magic is that it comes from an older, darker time, and that it cares little for men.

...magic is wild.

Something happened. Neither of them will talk about it, but Zeke ran away, and Noah nearly died. There was a lot of blood on the bedroom floor when Iris Wilde found Noah. He nearly went mad, in the time it took for his wounds to heal.

Years passed. Noah, who always drank too much drank more and more. Iris had a son. More or less, things returned to normal...

And then, one night, with storms raging across the highlands, something unexpected happened. He was bruised and battered, and something wasn't right in his green eyes. He was very scared. They both were.

Zeke Wilde came home.

personality:
Something of a broken man. Falls in love easily, and completely, or, at least, he used to, before. He's got a depressive personality; a tendancy to brood. Mild alcohol problem. He's not good at putting things behind him. With people he loves, he's kind and very gentle. With everyone else, he's quiet, and so shy that he sometimes seems stand offish. He has nightmares, sometimes, and he's very afraid of the dark...

All purpose, functional clothes - worn jeans, t-shirts, sweaters in black/grey/green, etc. Boots. Comfortable clothe.


-A tiny silver cross on a silver chain, and, incongrously, a slender silver bangle with a celtic pattern which he never takes off...a present from Wilde.

Reasonably tall. Wiry build. Defined muscles in arms/legs/abdomen. Pale skin. Dark, almost unnaturally green eyes, the irises of which burn green when he words magic. Red hair, shaggy; long enough to touch his narrow shoulders. Graceful, slender hands, long fingers. Long legs.

personality:
Quiet. Intense. Passionate. A little aloof. Sexual. Artistic. He's easily frightened...Jumpy. He ran away after whatever happened to Noah - Guilt and shame wouldn't let him stay. He used to love touching Noah - physical contact calms him. WHen he came back, everything was different. He was more reserved around Noah, and the only person he's completely comfortable with is Iris' 2 year old son, Ruari.

Typically black - jeans, t-shirts, sweaters. Worn out boots.

background:
Discovered his magical ability when he was just a child. Kept it hidden from his parents with held from his older sister, Iris. She moved to the Highlands, and he moved in with her. He met Noah, and fell in love. They moved in together, and then, 2 years later, there was some kind of magical accident. Noah nearly died, and Zeke ran away.

He turned up seven years later, badly beaten and very shaken.
